2. SEARK German Shepherd's Health Guarantee
W e are committed to your complete satisfaction. While we take great measures to ensure the soundness of our dogs, any puppy may develop health problems. Accordingly, we offer the following guarantee: Your purebred German Shepherd puppy will be checked by a veterinarian and found to be healthy when it receives its 1st set of puppy shots and been treated for worms. There are two(2) other required sets of shots that must be given, at the age of 8 to 9 weeks and then again at 11 to 12 weeks of age (refer to puppy's health record). The buyer is also advised not to take the puppy into public places or allow it to socialize with dogs that may be not vaccinated until its immunizations are in order.
Your newly purchased puppy/dog must be taken to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase for a check-up and report sent to Tanglewood Kennel. If a new owner fails to take their new puppy to a vet of their choice within 72 hours will render the health guarantee null and void.
Within 2 business days of a vet's certification of illness, or death, the buyer must notify the seller in writing.
3. SEARK German Shepherd's Hereditary Guarantee
Our puppies are guaranteed for a period of 1 year from date of birth against any congenital defects that would severely impair the dog's quality of life. If a congenital problem is confirmed by a Vet of the breeder's choice (expense to be paid by the buyer), a replacement dog/puppy of equal value will be provided as soon as one is available.
Our puppies are guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of birth against crippling Hip Dysplasia. Hip Dysplasia is a congenital malformation of the ball and socket joint of the hip. A dog may or may not become lame because of the disease, depending upon its severity. Although there is no guarantee that a puppy will not get hip dysplasia, we are making every effort to avoid such an occurrence by using stock that has been x-rayed and rated by the OFA or SV. In the event that one of our puppies does develops crippling hip dysplasia, we will replace the puppy with another of the same quality. An OFA letter of diagnosis must be returned to the breeder. This guarantee is void for a dog that has been bred, has sired a litter or is severely over weight. The breeder will not be responsible for any veterinary, transportation or other expenses incurred .
If for any reason the buyer is unable to keep the dog/puppy at any point in its lifetime, we request having the option of taking back the dog/puppy or helping to find another suitable home. (We would never want to see a dog/puppy end up in a shelter.)
The breeder does not guarantee against any environmental temperament problems. Environmental referring to abuse, neglect, teasing, or failing to train the dog properly. The breeder strongly suggests the buyer to take their new pup to obedience classes to learn proper handling techniques.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or problems that arise during your pet's lifetime. We would also appreciate your updates as this helps to keep us informed on the bloodline and of your satisfaction.
There is no written guarantee nor implied guarantee by SEARK German Shepherds that any puppy/dog will be show or breeding quality.
4. You will receive AKC registration papers with your new pup if both parents are AKC Registered. If the pup or adult is a German import the typical waiting period for SV papers can be up to 6 months.
5. Sample bag of Eukanuba for large breed puppy food and Puppy Care Information Booklet
